Tony Tom is the Odyssey
Tony still tie-and-solders handbuilt wheels on a regular basis. He does this against a backdrop of carbon clinchers, tubulars, discs, and lightweight aluminum wheels. It’s not hard to find someone, who’s heard of, been sold a bike, or been fit by Tony. As a third generation San Franciscan, born and raised, Tony has been part of the local cycling scene even before he owned A Bicycle Odyssey.
Tony is known by reputation. He combines an expertise that has been cultivated over the years with a genuine voracious appetite for the most up-to-date technology with a highly refined and practiced eye, to fit everyone from weekend riders to champion racers. A customer once made the analogy, “It’s like when you go to the doctor. You want your doctor to have a solid sense of the way the whole body works as a system developed through years of experience.”
